Life after college doesn't get easier for the living or the dead.
Killed and stuck on Earth, a young man’s spirit discovers his freak death breaks apart two best friends who fell for him, and now struggles to set things right believing it’s his ticket out of purgatory, all the while discovering things about each that question whom he would -or should- have chosen. Overview A 1-hour, genre blending, drama/fantasy twisting the love triangle trope: a young man has two different women fall for him, only to be killed in a freak accident. Good friends, his death and jealousy break them apart. Unable to move on, and with no heavenly guidance, he believes the reason is to repair the rift. Another spirit assists in his Quixotic journey, at times being a voice of both sarcasm and stoicism. He also deals with an irresolvable situation: whom he would have chosen now he can choose neither. Now dead, he sees their struggles starting out in life and how friends misunderstood the real him. Another twist: He discovers one of the ladies is bisexual. While developing a romantic interest in him, she can’t turn off deep feelings for her friend, both now lost. It explores the themes of life, death, forgiveness and identity. At her first job after college as a content creator/ blogger. Extroverted, fashion conscious, cover her lingering insecurities. Loses Herón and best friend Ellie in one stroke. Ursula- 19. A spirit killed in 1986. Follows Herón in his attempts to repair the rift between Ellie and Nikki. Provides an antisocial, comic foil while hiding the torment of her own death and regrets. Albert- Mid 20s. Best friend type of guy. Shaken by Herón’s death, he strives to live a fuller life even if it means risk taking and abandoning a promising relationship with friend Megan. |
